FTF has worked with some of our Louisville members to organize a local field trips for our attendees!
Heine Brothers’, a coffee roaster dedicated to 100% fair trade & organic coffee, will be opening their doors on Main Street to host tours of their new coffee roasting facility. They will be serving complimentary coffee, tea, & espresso drinks.
Anchal Project, a non-profit organization that seamlessly integrates design training with global feminine empowerment, will be holding an open house at their new office headquarters. We also strongly urge you to keep an eye out for their Dyescape Demonstration Garden, which will be visible on the ride there.
Just Creations, a non-profit store devoted to supporting artisans and farmers around the world as well as educating their community about the fair trade movement, will be hosting an open house at their local store. They will have refreshments, and with a purchase of $50 or more, a free Just Creations tote bag for conference attendees (please show your conference badge).
Heine Brothers’ Crescent Hill Coffeehouse on Frankfort Avenue is dedicated to 100% fair trade & organic coffee. Stop in to see the cafe and buy a coffee or tea.
There will be two buses shuttling from the Seelbach Hilton on Wednesday morning.
- One bus will travel to the Portland Warehouse District for the Heine Brothers’ Roaster and Anchal Project open houses.
- The other bus will go to Just Creations & the Heine Brothers Coffeehouse in Louisville’s Crescent Hill neighborhood.
The first of each shuttle will depart from the Seelbach at 9:00 am.
Bus departure times: 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM
The last bus for each tour will be leaving at 11:00 am. The buses departing from the Seelbach at 11:30 and 12:00 pm will be for final pickups and will return to the hotel at 12:30 pm.
